We follow the instructions on our ticket:
Making our way to the reserved entrance for Fantasmic! down the back road:
Coming up into Snow White’s witch section:
We’re off to the far side – and I snap several pictures for a panoramic:
There are a LOT of people. I can see why the lines are an event in themselves.
We’re seated around 6pm. Waiting for the show to start. The WAVE comes down and we throw our arms up and yell. It passes back and forth a few times. Then a coordinated chant from the far side. Can’t tell what they’re saying, but it has to be a proper Cheer Team because they are good.
We’re still waiting.
THEN the loudspeakers “We’re experiencing technical difficulty and the show will be starting a little late”. Uh oh…. Chris and I can smell gasoline or propane or something pretty strongly. Otherwise we’re not sure what the deal is.
10, 15, 20 minutes go by. I’m crossing my fingers. I’ve heard, and know, that if it’s canceled we’re out of luck. No compensation. No do-overs.
FINALLY – at 6:45 IT STARTS!!! A loud (and relieved I bet) cheer goes up. If you’ve not seen the show, it really isn’t done justice in a few photos. I also wouldn’t do well by trying to describe any of the parts of it either, so I’m just going to put some of my favorite pictures.
How this guy didn’t scare the bejeebus out of every kid there I don’t know!!
It looks like he’s eating Mickey
Awesome! (That explains the gasoline smell earlier)
Suffice it to say it was a great time, and a must see at least once if you have kids old enough to enjoy it, or are a big kid yourself.
Finally we headed out… well… we hung out along the side of the ramp like a new swimmer clinging to the side of the pool. The crush of people stampeding out was just madness, and people were RUDE!! Once the majority of the people had left we headed to the car.
On the way home I see this….
and start giggling like mad and point it out to the rest of the car. If you’re not getting it… well, um… I can’t help you. :rotfl:
