The first faceup is not to be seen or acknowledged ever again….
Here’s the beginnings of a 2nd attempt. I am not having a good time getting acrylics to play nice, and I may end up working with just pencils and pastels. I know it doesn’t look like much, and it’s obviously not complete, nor very detailed. It is enough to make me want to continue trying though.
I need to mask off around his lips, as the pastel dust tends to travel and grab everywhere. I’m fairly pleased with Testors so far, but would like to get some MSC and compare.
Many thanks to Dollicieux for their articles with various artists offering faceup tutorials. They were beneficial in giving me anchor in where to even start all this business.
